Mom's Basement

I've got this mad energy maybe a head injury don't know whats come over me..
Between the hours two and three my entire body goes in to frenzy..
I could take in all the words any one wants to be heard, I can learn..
Find solutions to the problems cool the burn, save the world, rule the earth..
But I cant clean these bugs out of my head, these thoughts wrapped in cobwebs,
If I don't take full advantage of this time explained only by magic…

Well, why cant these seeds show up in the spring when I'm ready to plant them?
I mean, a better time would be any time that I could make some noise..
In opportunistic terms alone the opportunity is harder to fathom..
While the world sleeps under this dark blanket you could hear a pin drop, there's no choice...
…Use your inside voice!
I won’t step on anyones toes, I’ll sit quietly fidgeting in the corner, so you can watch your shows…

I could try, I could wait, I could die on this stage,
I could sing to my heart’s content, but I’m still:
In mom’s basement…

Get the hell out of here…

Some say they’ve got the blues, others say they’re seeing red,
me I say Ive got the greys because its all static in my head,
I don’t care, no I don’t care, when your bitchin and complaining babe its hardly fair, how could you even expect me to care?!

Some say that they would chose a mile in another’s shoes,
Ya i make excuses too, but thats entirely on you, I don’t care!
Not I don’t care!
When you’re bitchin and complaining babe it’s hardly fair,
How could you even expect me to care!?

Get the hell out of here!

about

Mitch for Mayor Edmonton, Alberta

Taking their name from a misguided political aspiration, Mitch for Mayor formed in 2017 and began storming venues around Edmonton with a frenzied and unruly display of rock and roll.
They have released two EPs: Out of the Rhubarb (2019) and Swell as Hell (2022). The band is set on pushing hard-riffing rock and roll to the limit, seeing what breaks, then pushing it even further. Enjoy the show.
