SINK

about

A rough recording, but a decent enough "newish to garage band" quality recording.

lyrics

We're under water and you're dragging me down,
A good Samaritan rarely wears this crown..
An unlucky guy wears beneath his head
The weight of himself and the chain until dead..
We're under water, and I wont just drown,
Wont just sink down down down..

A lucky lady wears this medal,
She's flaunting maybe,
And she swears to revel.

If you can't swim you might be
Too heavy to the surface, to carry...

An unlucky story or a fairy tale,
Two star crossed liars, destined to fail,
Fairness is dryness a distance on to the land,
Awareness is blindness on the beach with the sand,
Salt in the air it burns these eyes,
To the water with you and with longing,
I cry..

I let you sink, and now you know...
It died in my arms before I let go.

about

Mitch for Mayor Edmonton, Alberta

Taking their name from a misguided political aspiration, Mitch for Mayor formed in 2017 and began storming venues around Edmonton with a frenzied and unruly display of rock and roll.
They have released two EPs: Out of the Rhubarb (2019) and Swell as Hell (2022). The band is set on pushing hard-riffing rock and roll to the limit, seeing what breaks, then pushing it even further. Enjoy the show.
