lyrics

I’m sick and tired of being right every time something don’t feel right
Head in the clouds with my feet on the ground but I don’t sleep tight
Gain too much altitude, pull up into a stall when I’m in your sights

You know the feeling of how a tailspin lets us re-begin?
This love was always a freefall

This love was always a
Bubble we shared, careless with each fleeting moment
This love was always a
Way to ignore what we’ve found ourselves in this predicament
This love was always a
Way to believe that something could actually be heaven sent

You know the feeling of how a tailspin lets us re-begin?
I don’t want to concede but we’ve been losing speed
So pull us out of this stall
This love was always a freefall

So close your eyes
Turn your back to the ground
Those butterflies
Can’t catch us now
They can’t soften the blow, it was our time to go
Put a crack in the earth, I guess this was bound to hurt.

about

Mitch for Mayor Edmonton, Alberta

Taking their name from a misguided political aspiration, Mitch for Mayor formed in 2017 and began storming venues around Edmonton with a frenzied and unruly display of rock and roll.
They have released two EPs: Out of the Rhubarb (2019) and Swell as Hell (2022). The band is set on pushing hard-riffing rock and roll to the limit, seeing what breaks, then pushing it even further. Enjoy the show.
